Chloe Lattanzi is mourning the death of her mother, Olivia Newton-John, through song.
Grammy-winning singer and actress Newton-John died following a long battle with breast cancer at 73 on Monday.
Newton-John’s daughter, whom the “Grease” actress shared with her first husband Matt Lattanzi, posted a touching behind-the-scenes video from a duet between her and her mother Tuesday as they sang “Window in the Wall.” The mother-daughter duo released the song in January 2021.
The video features Lattanzi and Newton-John singing sweet, melancholy lyrics side-by-side in the music studio while also embracing one another.
“You are my lighthouse mama. My safe place. My heart space. It has been my honor and continues to be my honor to be your baby and best friend,” Lattanzi wrote in the caption. “You are an angel on earth and everyone touched by you has been blessed. I love you forever my life giver, my teacher, my mama.”
Lattanzi also shared old photos of her and her mother in an earlier post. Days prior, alongside a sweet photo of herself and Newton-John, she wrote: “I worship this woman. My mother. My best friend.”
Newton-John’s husband, John Easterling, confirmed his wife’s death Monday via her verified Facebook page, writing that Newton-John “passed away peacefully at her ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends.”

“Our love for each other transcends our understanding. Every day we expressed our gratitude for this love that could be so deep, so real, so natural,” Easterling continued in the post. “We never had to ‘work’ on it. We were in awe of this great mystery and accepted the experience of our love as past, present and forever.”
