Brian May Wants To Do Another Project For Freddie Mercury

In a recent interview with Daily Star, Brian May talked about continuing Queen’s legacy after the passing of Freddie Mercury, his desire to reunite with the actors of “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and his thoughts on why a sequel should be made.

Even though the movie was a tribute to Queen’s early days and their journey to becoming rock stars, May thought that the script was mostly about Mercury, which was a great way to keep the frontman’s legacy alive and show what he’d been through while building his career and making a name for himself in the business.

“We’ve been talking about it. I felt proud of it, and the people who played us were just phenomenal,” May said. He is tempted to do a sequel, as “it would be worth it just to work with those boys again. ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ climaxed in Live Aid, and I suppose implicitly Freddie starting to deal with his AIDS, but an awful lot happened between the end of the film to the end of the glory days of Queen.”

He added: “I loved the fact we were able to do it for Freddie. That really means a lot, and I felt we did it in the right way and in the right spirit. Of course, we were represented in the movie because we were a group, but it was really all about Freddie, and I think we did him good.”

Even though a sequel to Bohemian Rhapsody is still a question to be asked, the fact that Brian May is eager to work on it makes us very pleased.
