Mila Kunis reacted perfectly to being booed on Jimmy Kimmel show

Mila Kunis proved she wasn’t going to let a few boos throw her off her game when she was met with negativity from the crowd during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

As someone who lives life in the spotlight, Kunis is likely used to getting mixed reactions from members of the public.

It might come in the form of reviews on her movies or comments online, but on this particular occasion she experienced it live and in person.

The boos rang out as Kunis sat down to chat with Jimmy Kimmel last year as she promoted her Netflix movie, Luckiest Girl Alive.

It all started out quite well on the show, as Kunis made the audience laugh as she explained she’d had to improvise her outfit for the night after opening her garment bag to find it contained no bra, underwear or socks.

After scraping together some undergarments with the help of her team and the show’s costume department, she got stuck in to the interview as Kimmel said she sounded like she ‘could be a New Yorker’.

The actor responded to agree, but acknowledged she wasn’t born and raised in the Big Apple.

For some reason, this drew one solitary boo from a member of the audience, causing Kunis to shoot her head round to the audience in surprise.

After questioning who booed, she asked Kimmel: “What’s wrong with your audience? Very New York of you, very New York.”

Things looked like they might be getting back on track when Kunis received a cheer for saying she was born in Ukraine, but it quickly went downhill from there.

The actor got booed a second time after being asked whether she’d had her first pizza in New York, which she admitted wasn’t the case.

This did not go down well with the crowd who seemed ready to shout down anything that wasn’t from their beloved city.

The star explained that when her family moved to the US, her dad actually got a job delivering pizzas, but over on the other side of the country in Los Angeles.

To make matters worse, Kunis said LA had ‘perfectly fine pizzas’ – which drew another round of boos from the audience.
Having become wise to the audience’s ways at this point, Kunis fully prepared for another boo as she revealed her dad had delivered Domino’s Pizza for a living – a far cry from the cheap slices available in small stores in NYC.

The audience obligingly responded to her story with yet another chorus of boos, but Kunis took it all in her stride, reacting perfectly to the situation.

The actor has since been praised for her response to the crowd, with one person joking that she ‘handled that NY crowd like they were her kids’, while another said her time on the show had been a ‘delight’.
