Amy Winehouse’s original band and close friends are set to perform some of her greatest hits in Swindon, in the hopes of keeping her spirit and legacy alive.
Amy Winehouse sold over 30 million records worldwide during her nine-year career, and won numerous awards including five Grammys and a Brit Award.
Following her death in 2011, aged 27, Winehouse was described by the late George Michael as “the most soulful vocalist this country has ever seen.”
Stars such as Lady Gaga claimed that “Amy changed pop music forever” while fellow British singer Adele thanked her for “paving the way for artists like me.”
Now almost 14 years on from her death, Amy’s original band members have announced they will tour the UK playing some of her biggest hits.

“Hers is such an important musical legacy and with this show, we aim to keep it alive throughout the world”.
Drummer Nathen Allen added: “Performing and recording with Amy was simply as good as it gets.”
Featuring on-screen visuals and unique footage, the show will include performances of Amy’s multi-award-winning albums and songs such as Rehab, Valerie, Back To Black, Love Is A Losing Game, Tears Dry On Their Own and more.

“I shut my eyes, and I was listening to Amy.”
The Amy Winehouse Band will play at Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre for one night only on Tuesday, November 18, and tickets are priced at £34-£38.50.
The band has already sold out shows, tours and festival stages worldwide in cities such as Paris, Munich and Athens, so Amy Winehouse fans shouldn’t wait around to get tickets.
